Creative fun that pitches to the naturally arty and not.
My children come home producing good looking pieces and put something together that is recognisable. Even my 5 year old loves it!  Creativity, imaginative play and a sense of self-worth - what's not to like?!”

Overview of Mrs G's Extra Clubs:

Saturday workshops  - run add hoc - allow extended periods of time for children to really learn about, try out, explore and create in more complicated media, while guided and supported by Mrs G.  Sessions might include for instance, 3D sculpting, clay work, experimental art, large canvas work.  Sessions are currently planned for pupils age 5 to 13.   They are advertised at random points throughout the year.  Pupils are grouped by age and ability so they can be extended or scaffolded support materials provided accordingly.

The holiday clubs/camp sessions include learning about famous artists or styles of art, and tuition in a variety of media, such as acrylic painting, printing, watercolour artwork, oil pastel and soft pastels, pencil drawing and mixed media. A good deal of time is spent preparing reference materials, support templates and highly visual, structured, step-by-step presentations, to guide all children, young and older, to a successful end result. Artworks are created on quality cartridge paper, boxes, canvases and other materials. Children are grouped by age and ability so that Mrs G can support and extend then different appropriately. Specific practical art skills will be taught in each session, with live 'follow me' style demonstrations from the teacher, usually large scale or in detail on a visualiser. Each holiday club follows a new theme with original content.
